Rafed receives Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport under ‘transport safety’

DUBAI — Tatweer Educational Transportation Services Company (Rafed), the executive arm of the Ministry of Education for providing school transport service, has received the Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport in its 12th version.

The event was organized by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai Emirate during a ceremony that was held under the patronage of Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of the Executive Board Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The company ranked second at the level of the Middle East and North Africa, where the scope of the award was expanded in the current version of the award to include government and semi-government authorities and institutions, private companies, schools, universities and general benefit association in the region.

Rafed was honored for its big contributions in offering qualitative initiatives that played a role increasing the levels of security and safety for beneficiaries of the service through developing and improving internal processes related to security and safety.

The initiatives included theoretical and practical training for drivers, developing a platform for educational transport systems, and awareness campaigns on the aspects and standards of security and safety, such as the safety trip that included most of the regions of the Kingdom, in addition to the awareness content that is published on various social media outlets.

Rafed deserved the award for achieving the evaluation standards for the five main categories, such as the idea of the initiative and its development; the approach and implementation mechanism of the initiative; innovation and knowledge transfer; and achievement and results. — SPA
