RIYADH —
Saudi Arabia has condemned and denounced on Saturday the aggression of the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip, killing several Palestinians, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that Saudi Arabia would stand by the Palestinian people and support them. It called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to end the escalation of the Israeli aggression.

Saudi Arabia also called for providing the necessary protection for civilians, in addition to highlighting the importance of making all out efforts to end this protracted conflict.

It is noteworthy that the death toll from the continuous Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Friday rose to 15, apart from wounding of more than 125 people. The occupation warplanes carried out several missile raids on separate regions of the Gaza Strip, flattening several homes.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that an elderly Palestinian woman was martyred in an Israeli raid near Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, after another woman was killed in an earlier Israeli strike.

Several people were injured when a civilian vehicle was targeted near the Beit Hanoun checkpoint in the northern Gaza Strip, while they were transporting a bride to her husband’s home.

Additionally, two Palestinian civilians were killed and several others were wounded, following the Israeli bombing of the Al-Zanah area in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

The fighting began with Israel’s killing of a senior commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in a wave of strikes on Friday.
