RIYADH — The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and MBC Group announced the ‘Saudi Idol’ talent show.

GEA’s Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh said on Twitter that the authority and MBC have engaged in a partnership to launch the first season of “Saudi Idol,” which will kick off in December 2022.

MBC said the filming is scheduled to start in October, with a four-member jury that constitutes of Saudi singer Aseel Abu Bakr, Emirati singer Ahlam, Syrian singer Asala, and Iraqi-Saudi singer and composer Majed Al Mohandis. — SG
