Saudi Arabia approves new identity for tow vehicles, enhances safety requirements

October 05, 2022

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Transport General Authority (TGA) has announced the approval of a new identity for vehicles used by towing services. The new identity includes unified color, signs and data required to be placed on vehicles operating in the activity.

An exemption of one year is allowed for those who have valid operating licenses before the date of the actual application of the new identity, which will start on 26 November.

TGA indicated that the approval of the new identity comes with the aim of improving services and enhancing safety during transport operations. The new identity will increase the regulation and governance of the activity and combat commercial concealment in the sector in a manner that ensures the improvement of the quality and efficiency of services.

TGA called on establishments and individuals working in this activity to visit its website: (tga.gov.sa) and view the regulation governing the activity. TGA also provided a unified number, 19929, for direct communication. — SPA
