RIYADH — The Ministry of Interior refuted on Monday the claims of a security man that his superior authorities have suspended his salary without any genuine reason. The security man made the allegations in a video clip that he circulated through social media.

In a statement, the ministry responded to the allegations of the man that his higher authorities had taken illegal measures against him.

The ministry spokesman stated that it was found in investigations that his allegations were false.

“The suspension of his salary was the result of his unauthorized absence from work without an excuse for 76 days, including two continuous months. It was also found in investigations that this security man abused the statutory authority during his absence from work in cases that are under investigation,” he said.

The spokesman said that the security authorities are keen on ensuring that the employees of the military sectors abide by the regulations in force in the Kingdom as well as the notified instructions regarding the grievances of the measures taken against them.
