6 talented students win awards in National Olympiad

AL-AHSA — Six talented students from Al-Ahsa Education Department have won major awards at the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity, which is organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba).

The event was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Education and hosted by King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM).

Five of these students represented Saudi Arabia in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2023 after they won the national Olympiad research out of 146,000 talented students.

Fatima Al-Ghannam ranked second in the field of software engineering, Fatima Al-Arfaj ranked third in chemistry, Fatima Al-Buali ranked fifth in chemistry, Nour Al-Hammad in botany, Faisal Al-Mheish in energy, and Abeer Al-Yousef ranked sixth in materials science. — SPA
