GENEVA — The World Health Organization expressed its deepest thanks to Saudi Arabia for its rapid response to the catastrophic earthquake that hit Syria and Türkiye Monday.

In a special session of the 152nd session of the Executive Council of the WHO, held in Geneva on the response to this disaster, the Executive Director of the WHO Dr. Michael Ryan, expressed his deepest thanks and appreciation to Saudi Arabia for this large degree of support.

The WHO also lauded the Kingdom's rapid provision of aid, in terms of providing supplies and sending emergency medical teams. — SPA
