Seventh Saudi relief plane departs carrying medical supplies to Syria and Turkiye

RIYADH — The 7th Saudi relief plane left King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, carrying medical equipment worth more than SR36 million to assist earthquake victims in Syria and Turkiye.

The equipment includes a defibrillator, ECG devices, sound wave devices, blood gases, blood analysis devices, patient monitors, medicine for chronic diseases, medicine for cold diseases, anesthesia and resuscitation medication, operating tables, and operating room lights.

It also includes devices for measuring temperature, pressure, sugar and vision examinations, splints, lead protectors against radiation, sterilization devices, blood oxygen measurement devices, electric generators, and surgical kits, including orthopedic operations, facemasks, and others.

This aid comes within the framework of the Saudi relief airlift, operated by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), to help the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkiye.

This is in implementation of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman and as an embodiment of the humanitarian role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. — SPA
