RIYADH — The Vice Minister of Culture Hamid Bin Mohammed Fayez received here Monday Archbishop of Vienna Cardinal Dr. Christoph Schonborn.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the role of culture in enhancing communication among people and the cultural renaissance that the Kingdom is currently experiencing as part of the Kingdom Vision 2030.

They emphasized the important role of culture in fostering ideas of tolerance and acceptance, as well as in promoting conversations between people of different national backgrounds within a common human framework.

Fayez also extended an invitation to Cardinal Dr. Schonborn to visit the Islamic Arts Biennale, which is currently being held in Jeddah.

The event showcases the accomplishments of Islamic art throughout the history of Islamic civilization and provides an opportunity to learn about its unique characteristics. — SPA
