HELSINKI — Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid Bin Abdullah Al-Hogail witnessed Thursday the signing of seven agreements and memorandums of understanding on his visit to Finland, during which he met with a number of ministers and senior officials.

Al-Hogail attended the Saudi-Finnish Business Forum, which was hosted at the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Business Finland headquarters and featured a number of businesses and private sector executives from both sides, with the goal of fostering trade ties between the two friendly countries.

In order to collaborate on the development of concepts for smart city technologies, Internet of Things technologies, big data analysis techniques, artificial intelligence, and the exchange of experiences and expertise in related fields, National Housing has concluded a tripartite memorandum of understanding with Oivan Group Oy and Wapice Oy.

Al-Hogail also witnessed the signing of several agreements among a number of Saudi and Finnish companies in the fields of housing, engineering solutions, technical services, and renewable energy, as well as contracts in the fields of the circular economy, security and safety, logistics, and environmental systems. — SPA
