JEDDAH — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan received on Wednesday a phone call from the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General to Syria Geir Pedersen.

During the phone conversation, they discussed ways to find a political solution to the Syrian crisis and the efforts being exerted by the UN envoy to Syria in this regard.

Prince Faisal affirmed Saudi Arabia’s keenness to exert all efforts to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis that preserves Syria’s unity, security, stability and Arab belongingness, and achieves welfare and progress of the Syrian people.
