RIYADH — The Saudi Logistics Academy has launched the first phase of the program to develop future leaders in the logistics sector to qualify and empower 15 female leaders in Singapore.

This has been carried out in partnership with the Supply Chain and Logistics Academy (SCALA).

The Executive Director of the Saudi Logistics Academy Dr. Abdullah Al-Abdulakareem said that the program is considered as one of the qualitative programs implemented for the first time in the region as a program dedicated to women leaders.

He confirmed that the academy is keen to design unique training programs to develop the logistics sector.

The program comprises more than 90 hours of intensive training with the best experts, with the aim of identifying the best practices in building, designing and operating logistics services.

It also provides field visits and learning about international experiences, as well as building a network of professional relationships through exchanging experiences and attending workshops that are designed specially with the most important female leaders in the logistics sector.

The first phase of the program lasts for two weeks, comprising training workshops and theoretical lectures.

The second phase will start in the 18th of September in Singapore, where the practical training will take place for the trainees in the most important logistics companies.

It is noteworthy that the SCALA is a specialized academy that provide a number of specialized training programs in the logistics sector, such as supply chain and e-commerce.

There are 300 agencies benefiting from SCALA, as the academy's programs is suitable for trainees who are in different stages in their careers.
