BEIJING — The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, along with his delegation, recently visited Peking University in Beijing.
During the visit, he held a meeting with the university's president to discuss the academic programs offered by the institution, with a particular focus on those related to the industrial and mining sectors.
As part of the visit, Al-Khorayef also had the opportunity to tour the King Abdulaziz Public Library (KAPL) branch hosted by Peking University.
The library was inaugurated by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. During the tour, the minister met with the General Supervisor of the library, Faisal Bin Abdulrahman Bin Muammar.
He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the library, particularly in teaching the Arabic language and promoting cultural communication.
The library is recognized as a vital center for knowledge and culture, facilitating the enrichment of Arab and Chinese cultures and promoting scientific and knowledge collaboration between Saudi Arabia and China.
KAPL marks 5th anniversary
at the Peking University
The KAPL, at Peking University in China, launched Tuesday its scientific and cultural activities on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of its inauguration.
The event was attended by guests from both Saudi Arabia and China, who learned about KAPL’s departments and the services it provides to academics, scholars, researchers, and students.
They also learned about the important cultural programs and events organized by KAPL to promote cultural exchange between Arab and Chinese cultures and enhance scientific and knowledge cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China.
The KAPL at PU made major achievements including the launch of the Arabic-Chinese digital library, the organization of various cultural exhibitions, and the translation of several books into the Chinese language. — SPA
