In phone call with Erdogan, Crown Prince underscores Saudi efforts to stop military escalation in Gaza

RIYADH — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday.

During the phone conversation, the two leaders discussed the current military escalation in Gaza and its surroundings. The Crown Prince emphasized that Saudi Arabia is making intensive efforts through regional and international communications with the aim of joint coordination to stop the ongoing escalation.

During the call, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman affirmed the Kingdom’s position of rejecting targeting civilians in any way and claiming the lives of innocent people. He stressed the need to observe the principles of international humanitarian law, and the need to stop the attack on the Gaza Strip.

The Crown Prince also pointed to the Kingdom’s firm position towards supporting the Palestinian cause and efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive and just peace that guarantees the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
