RIYADH — The Ministry of Sports has revealed the key features of the developments planned for the King Fahd Sports City Stadium in Riyadh.

The stadium will undergo renovations following the conclusion of the match between Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr on Friday, in the 15th round of the Saudi Professional League.

The Ministry explained that the focus will be on providing green spaces, bike paths, a sports store, a sports museum, and multiple sales points around the stadium.

As for the stadium itself, a notable change will be the removal of the athletic track, transforming it into a temporary, removable track.

The upcoming changes also include the construction of a multi-sport hall, golf courses, and five side football pitches.

Additionally, there will be two FIFA-certified training fields, a theater, exhibition space, a football academy, and a futsal academy.

The renowned stadium will undergo development as part of the preparations for this significant upcoming event in Saudi Arabia which is the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.
