ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates has announced a significant Cabinet reshuffle.

Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum revealed the changes on his social media account, stating that Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid has been appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Financial Affairs.

Sheikh Maktoum, who has effectively managed the Ministry of Finance and various economic and commercial portfolios at local and federal levels, will continue his influential role.

Sheikh Mohammad also announced that Sultan Al Neyadi is appointed as the Minister of State for Youth.

In a significant shift, Mariam Almheiri, recognized for her substantial contributions to the UAE’s environment and food security sectors, will now lead the international affairs office at the Presidential Court.

Mohammed Fadel Al Mazrouei is appointed as the Minister of State for Defense Affairs.

Al Mazrouei's extensive experience includes serving as Undersecretary in the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and as an Advisor in the Presidential Court.

Dr. Amna Al Shamsi has been named Minister of Environment and Climate Change, a role that recognizes her prominence in the federal government and her leadership in strategic projects.

The reshuffle also includes Salem Bin Khalid Al-Qasemi as Minister of Culture and Youth, and Omar Al Olama, as Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, who will additionally serve as the head of the premiership's office.

Finally, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid announced that Abdulla Lootah will lead the competitiveness council and oversee knowledge government exchange with sisterly and friendly countries.
