RIYADH
— Saudi Media Minister Salman Al-Dosary launched the 'Saudipedia' digital platform on Monday at the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX) in Riyadh as part of the Saudi Media Forum activities.

The event was attended by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Al-Swaha, along with various officials from Arab and international media outlets.

'Saudipedia', part of the Human Capability Development Program under Vision 2030, aims to serve as a comprehensive knowledge reference about the Kingdom. It strives to enhance and disseminate reliable information in an encyclopedic format through a platform designed according to best practices, aspiring to become the primary source for information about Saudi Arabia in multiple languages.

On this occasion, Minister Al-Dosary said: "Today, we lay the foundation for the Saudi encyclopedia 'Saudipedia', advancing toward the pillars of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's vision, to build a vibrant society proud of its extended history, deep-rooted strong foundations, and unique cultural identity."

He further emphasized: "'Saudipedia' aspires to be the first source of the Saudi narrative to the world, presenting the Kingdom's leadership, people, history, geography, and culture through a multilingual platform, starting with Arabic."

'Saudipedia' offers encyclopedic content reflecting the Kingdom's reality from cultural, social, economic, political, geographical, and historical aspects, making it an authentic source of encyclopedic knowledge. It provides text content supported by multimedia, regularly updated to reflect the Kingdom's cultural, civilizational, historical, and natural geographical richness.
