JEDDAH —
The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) thwarted smuggling efforts at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, seizing over 2 kilograms of cocaine and 878.2 grams of heroin.

The narcotics were ingeniously concealed inside the stomachs of passengers entering the Kingdom.

This operation underscores ZATCA's vigilance and its stringent customs surveillance aimed at preventing smuggling activities.

ZATCA reaffirms its dedication to rigorous customs enforcement on all imports and exports to thwart smuggling attempts.

This is achieved through close collaboration with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, highlighting a joint commitment to bolster societal security and prevent the infiltration of harmful substances.

The authority encourages public cooperation in combating smuggling by reporting suspicious activities through its security communication channels: the hotline (1910), email (1910@zatca.gov.sa), or the international phone number (+966114208417).

ZATCA guarantees confidentiality for all reports related to smuggling and customs violations, offering financial rewards for valid information that helps in preventing such crimes.
