MWL secretary-general awarded honorary doctorate in political science by University of Malaya

KUALA LUMPUR —
The University of Malaya (UM) has conferred an honorary doctorate in political science upon Muslim World League (MWL) Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, recognizing his exceptional contributions to Islamic diplomacy. The awarding ceremony was attended by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

UM Pro-Chancellor Dr. Aishah Ong expressed pride in granting the honorary degree to Al-Issa, highlighting him as a "prominent figure with solid religious influence who enjoys great respect and trust in the Islamic world".

Al-Issa, in response, expressed his gratitude for receiving the degree from such a prestigious university. He further noted that this honor extends to MWL, which is dedicated to promoting Islam's principles of tolerance and fostering dialogue and cooperation with all.
