Malaysian King bids farewell to pilgrims benefiting from Makkah Route Initiative

KUALA LUMPUR — King of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim, along with the Saudi Ambassador to Malaysia, Musaed Al-Saleem, bid farewell on Sunday to a group of pilgrims in Kuala Lumpur as they prepared to depart for the Kingdom to perform this year's Hajj under the Makkah Route Initiative.

During the event, Al-Saleem briefed the King on the initiative, explaining how it streamlines travel procedures for pilgrims.

Sultan Ibrahim expressed his appreciation for the distinguished services Saudi Arabia provides to the pilgrims.

The Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with various Saudi agencies, launched the Makkah Route Initiative in 2017 to enhance the Hajj journey. — SPA
