ZATCA foils seven attempts to smuggle over 112,000 Captagon pills

RIYADH — Officers on duty of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) have thwarted seven attempts to smuggle 112,493 Captagon pills hidden in vehicles entering the Kingdom through the Al-Haditha and Durra crossings.

A report by the ZATCA stated that, using security techniques and sniffer dogs, the duty crew thwarted four attempts at the Durra port and three attempts at the Al-Haditha port.

The smugglers were arrested and are pending appearance before investigation and justice authorities, the report said. — SPA
