NEW YORK Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan met his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi in New York on Sunday. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79).

The two ministers discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to further enhance them in various fields. Their talks also figured the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two countries to monitor the progress of their relations. They reviewed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.

The meeting was attended by Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, Director General of the Office of the Foreign Minister Abdulrahman AlDawood, and Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Al-Yahya.

During the meeting between Prince Faisal and Uzbek Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyar Saidov, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation across various fields. The importance of intensifying bilateral and multilateral coordination on issues of mutual interest were also figured in their talks.

Prince Faisal also held talks with Chad’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, and Chadians Abroad Abderaman Koulamallah. They exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern
