RIYADH —
The Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center (RIPC) has outlined the objectives of the Road Quality Program announced by Riyadh Municipality on September 24, 2024, designed to boost infrastructure efficiency and improve transportation safety across the capital.

The center highlighted that the program is a key component of its strategic goals, with a detailed roadmap laid out for the development of Riyadh's roads and streets over the coming years. This comprehensive plan includes precise timetables for each project, developed in close collaboration with 15 public and private sector service agencies.

RIPC's role involves overseeing the planning process and ensuring that project implementation aligns with the approved plan.

The center has gathered, analyzed, and integrated data from over 200,000 current and future projects, enabling it to prioritize re-asphalting projects while avoiding overlap with upcoming infrastructure developments scheduled within the next five years. This has led to the prevention of wastage, saving over 16 million m² of asphalt through a unified, sustainable methodology that emphasizes traffic safety.

The Road Quality Program reflects the center's collaborative efforts with Riyadh Municipality and its various partners, aiming to enhance the quality of life and provide a sustainable, thriving environment for Riyadh's residents.
