MADINAH — A woman passenger died after falling from the stepladder while getting off a plane at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah on Tuesday.

The Saudi National Transport Safety Center revealed that it had received information about the accident that happened after landing of Lion Air A330 aircraft (LNI074), at the airport. The passenger, who sustained serious injuries after falling from the stairs, was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Lion Air is an Indonesian low-cost private airline based in Jakarta.
