Okaz re-elects Abdullah Saleh Kamel as chairman for five-year term

The General Assembly of Okaz Organization for Press and Publication approved the nominees for the new Board of Directors term in a meeting held on Saturday. Sheikh Abdullah Saleh Kamel was unanimously re-elected as Chairman of the Board for an additional five-year term.

During the meeting, which was attended by General Assembly members, board members, the Editor-in-Chief, the General Manager, and the General Manager of the Media Regulatory Authority’s regional branches and representative of the Ministry of Media, Kamel outlined the organization’s future direction.

He emphasized that the coming phase will witness numerous initiatives and developmental plans to strengthen Okaz’s media presence and fulfill its national mission.

Over recent years, Kamel has been committed to supporting Okaz’s growth, enhancing its editorial, administrative, technical, and digital capabilities.

He has championed the organization’s digital transformation and brand renewal initiatives, while investing in training and developing young Saudi talent, often funding these efforts personally to ensure the continued strength and innovation of Okaz’s media operations.
