Saudi justice minister visits Eurojust to enhance judicial collaboration

Saudi Minister of Justice Walid Al-Samaani visited the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust) in The Hague, Netherlands, to strengthen judicial and legal collaboration between the Kingdom and the EU.

Al-Samaani was welcomed by Eurojust President Michael Schmid. The two leaders held discussions on bolstering cooperation in judicial and legal matters.

During the meeting, Al-Samaani outlined the Kingdom's significant advancements in its judicial and legal sectors, emphasizing that these reforms align with Saudi Vision 2030.

He stressed the Kingdom's commitment to ensuring comprehensive judicial guarantees and equal treatment for all litigants, granting the right to litigation to both citizens and residents alike.

Al-Samaani also highlighted key reforms aimed at promoting transparency in the justice sector. These include the documentation of court sessions through audio and video recordings, both in traditional courtrooms and virtual settings, the publication of court rulings, and the introduction of the e-Litigation service.
