The project is set to officially commence operations on December 1, 2024.

The network spans 176 kilometers across six lines, featuring 85 stations, including four iconic hubs — King Abdullah Financial District, STC, Qasr Al Hokm, and Western Station.

Integrated with the Riyadh Bus Project, the metro will enhance mobility, reduce traffic congestion, and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors. The project also aligns with the city’s vision of sustainable urban development.

The metro lines will be launched in phases, starting with the Blue Line (1), Yellow Line (4), and Purple Line (6) on December 1, followed by the Red Line (2) and Green Line (5) on December 15. The final line, Orange Line (3), will commence operations on January 5, 2025.
