ABU DHABI — A light aircraft operated by the Jazirah Aviation Club crashed into the sea off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of the pilot and co-pilot, authorities confirmed.
The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) announced that its Air Accidents Investigation Section has launched an inquiry to determine the cause of the crash.
Work teams and relevant authorities are actively involved in the investigation.
In a statement, the GCAA extended its condolences to the families and loved ones of the two victims, expressing deep sympathy for their loss. — WAM
