RIYADH
The President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, inaugurated the Air Cargo Security Control Center, a pioneering facility designed to enhance air cargo security across Saudi Arabia through advanced monitoring technologies.

The center, located at GACA’s headquarters in Riyadh, is linked to all approved air cargo agencies in the Kingdom, ensuring real-time oversight of their security procedures.

It employs the latest remote inspection and monitoring systems, making it a unique initiative in the global aviation sector.

Serving as a key platform for accelerating decision-making and improving the accuracy of security procedures, the center ensures the seamless movement of shipments without compromising strict security standards.

The facility operates through a remote inspection system that provides 24/7 centralized monitoring of air cargo supply chains.

It supervises security procedures at 40 accredited agencies spread across four key regions in Saudi Arabia, all linked to major airports.

Using cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and advanced risk analysis, the center tracks shipments from the moment they are received at cargo agencies until they reach their designated airports. This system significantly enhances the security and efficiency of logistics operations.

GACA remains committed to facilitating air transport procedures and fostering a competitive business environment through its comprehensive digital transformation project. The initiative aims to improve service efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure secure data exchange, aligning with the best international practices in aviation security and logistics.
