Health minister inspects healthcare facilities in Makkah

MAKKAH — Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel inspected on Monday several healthcare facilities in Makkah. He reviewed their preparedness for providing high-quality medical care and services for pilgrims and worshipers during the peak annual Umrah season in Ramadan.

Al-Jalajel visited Ajyad Emergency Hospital, which specializes in emergency and intensive care, Jiwar Medical Services Center, and Al-Haram Emergency Centers. He reviewed their capabilities and readiness to handle emergencies and urgent medical cases at a time when the Grand Mosque witnessing a huge influx of the faithful.

During the tour, the minister reviewed their emergency preparedness and rapid response to urgent cases. He emphasized that providing comprehensive and safe healthcare to pilgrims is a top priority for the healthcare system.

Al-Jalajel highlighted the ministry's intensive efforts to ensure the readiness of medical facilities and the integration of health services during the Ramadan and Hajj seasons. This is within the framework of the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which focuses on improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare and providing a safe, healthy environment that reflects the wise leadership's concern for human health and safety.

It is noteworthy that Al-Jalajel had previously conducted similar field visits to a number of healthcare facilities in Makkah, including the Saudi German Hospital, the Ajyad Emergency Hospital, and the Makkah Medical Center. He reviewed plans to enhance capacity during the Umrah season. He also visited the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites and inspected the Red Crescent Center in Kuday and the Al-Intilaq Emergency Center to ensure the readiness of emergency teams and the integration of services provided to pilgrims, as well as to ensure their safety and security while performing their rituals in ease and comfort.
