Saudi Gazette report

MINA — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has completed the distribution of timetables for pilgrims' stoning rituals at the Jamarat Bridge, a key part of regulating movement during the Days of Tashreeq.

The initiative aims to ensure maximum safety, fluidity of movement, and an improved experience for pilgrims at the holy sites.

This step is part of an integrated strategy developed by the Ministry to enhance crowd management during the Hajj season of 1446 AH.

The strategy is built on a unified operational model that connects service and regulatory bodies via the Joint Operations and Delegation Center — one of the year’s most significant transformations in managing Hajj crowds.

The newly issued schedules take into account each group’s accommodation locations and travel paths. Pilgrims will use designated transportation modes, including air-conditioned buses and the Mashaer train, for their journeys to and from the Jamarat facility.

This effort builds on the success of earlier movements, including the smooth, congestion-free stoning rituals performed on the morning of Eid Al-Adha.

Before the season began, the Ministry conducted comprehensive simulations involving various crowding scenarios to test the plan’s resilience.

Field teams were trained for real-time response and coordination, ensuring full preparedness to handle any operational challenges.

The Ministry’s Monitoring and Control Center continues its 24/7 operations, using a network of AI-powered smart cameras and centralized tracking systems to monitor crowd densities. These tools allow for real-time adjustments to movement routes when needed.

Additionally, the digital "Nusuk" card has helped manage entry to the Jamarat facility according to assigned time slots, working in sync with the “Nusuk” and “Tawakkalna” platforms.
