Saudi citizens can now apply for US Global Entry fast-track travel program
RIYADH — Saudi citizens can now apply for the United States' Global Entry program, allowing eligible travelers to benefit from expedited immigration processing upon arrival at US airports, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
The ministry said the move comes as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United States and facilitate travel for citizens of both countries.
Global Entry, administered by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), is part of the Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) and allows approved travelers to use dedicated lanes and self-service kiosks for faster entry into the United States.
The program reduces waiting times at immigration and border control checkpoints and accelerates identity verification and passport inspection upon arrival.
Eligible members can also benefit from TSA PreCheck, which provides expedited security screening through designated lanes when departing from US airports.
According to the ministry, Saudi citizens can apply online through the Trusted Traveler Programs portal by completing an enrollment application and paying a $120 fee.
Applicants who receive conditional approval must undergo an in-person interview before their membership can be activated.
Once approved, Global Entry membership remains valid for five years.
The program provides access to services at more than 200 airports across the United States, in partnership with more than 80 participating airlines, according to the ministry.
The ministry said the program also offers benefits for families, with eligible travelers able to access both Global Entry and TSA PreCheck services through a single membership.
It stressed that enrollment is subject to the requirements and regulations of the relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia and the United States, and that submitting an application does not guarantee approval.
