TAIF — A fire broke out at King Faisal Hospital in Taif thanks to a cigarette butt thrown by a patient on a blanket in a hospital room. The small fire was controlled and extinguished by security and safety teams. Civil Defense teams arrived at the scene and evacuated patients from the building as a precautionary measure. Taif Health Affairs confirmed the cigarette butt was the cause of the fire. There was little damage and no injuries, the directorate said. Civil Defense, Saudi Red Crescent and medical teams from other hospitals remained at the scene in case of any emergency.
