The South Dakota Highway Patrol said a trooper responded when the two semi trucks collided in foggy conditions on US Highway 12, about three miles west of Summit. Troopers said the truck hauling more than 15 tons of beef roasts collided with a semi hauling paper products when the second truck pulled onto the highway from a side street.
