The high quality of Japanese cars has managed to place automakers high among top cars worldwide. The big names of Japanese automobile companies that have become legendary have conquered drivers’ hearts at a global level. Automakers have gone with the trends to guarantee high exposure and maintain yet increase acceptance from all markets especially the Saudi market. The new “Suzuki Ertiga” offers convenience as it matches between the sedan and the APV for more comfort and internal console. The Indian-made Suzuki Ertiga designed for the Middle East market and Saudi Arabia is a seven-seat minivan. The front-wheel drive people carrier features a 1.4-liter engine, mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Standard features on the “Ertiga” include power steering, AM/FM radio, manual windows, fabric seats, manual A/C with rear vents, halogen headlamps and steel wheels. Higher option gets alloy wheels, fog lamps, chrome grille and side body molding for protection from scratches, dents and chippings. Depending on trim level, the “Ertiga” gets dual airbags and an ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and a dual A/C. The car is responsive and interactive with its driver. It is perfect for driving around the city as well as out. The “Suzuki Ertiga” is reasonably comfortable. It looks more of a small car than an APV, yet can be considered a sort of combination between both. It handles well especially if you consider this is a seven-seat vehicle. “We will not be exaggerating when we say that the Ertiga can literally run rings around the competition as far as dynamics go. The Japanese automaker studied well the Saudi market requirements and implemented specific features to match the local market needs. The interior of the “Ertiga” has a plenty of space offering ease while driving for long distances,” said Maher Al Mabawi, Deputy General Manager of Suzuki Saudia. “In general, the Suzuki Ertiga has found a place across the Saudi market and it has been requested since its launch by many.  The vehicle truly impressed us with the demand it received. Especially that It drives much like a car and not like those body-roll-special APVs. The car-like dynamics will definitely attract the hatchback and saloon buyer.  And that’s one of the biggest unique selling points of the vehicle,” Al Nabawi pointed out. — SG
