DAMMAM — India's new ambassador to the Kingdom, Ahmad Javed, called on Emir of Eastern Province Prince Saud Bin Naif on Monday and discussed issues of mutual interest.
The two sides made special emphasis on further strengthening and diversifying the engagements in the fields of trade and investment.
Javed expressed his thanks to the emir for hosting a large Indian community in the Eastern Province and ensuring their safety and welfare.
The ambassador also visited the Asharqia Chamber and met with its Secretary-General Abdul Rahman Al-Wabel and senior officials of the chamber.
The discussions covered the opportunities available between the two countries for further enhancing commercial engagements. — SG
