ResizeDUBAI — The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Prince Sultan University have signed an agreement that will allow students to gain CIMA’s global certification and title alongside their graduation degree.
Prince Sultan University was formally established in Riyadh in 2003 and is the first private university in the Kingdom. The university’s accounting students will now be able to fast track their professional development and accelerate their progression starting straight from CIMA’s Diploma in Management Accounting Level.
Geetu Ahuja, head of Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan, CIMA said: “CIMA offers the most relevant globally-recognized business and finance qualification. The qualification focuses on business performance, management and finance, giving students an advantage to be placed across any business function. By the time the students graduate, they are not only financially qualified but also professionally trained in business management, capable of advising on business strategy and risk management.”
Dr. Ahmed Al-Yamani, president of Prince Sultan University, said: “Today’s business environment can be very challenging especially for young graduates seeking to enter the workplace. Our partnership with CIMA will empower our students to build a successful career as soon as they graduate and help them pursue new opportunities in business, finance and related sectors.”
