JEDDAH — Marinduqueños did not let the season slip out without a win when it caught Four Season sluggish on its match while Cool Guys managed second spot by claiming its third Team of Week honor at the expense of Micah’s Pride during the penultimate session of the FEDBG Friday Morning Bowling League 17th meet at Bowling City here.

Despite being undermanned and disadvantaged all the way on scratch sets, TC James Monteleyola provided exceptional leadership and stirred teammates with 593 inspirations which James Paulme, Minda Guevara, Salve Monteleyola and Joseph Calvo positively responded with 535, 537, 531 and 546.

Aided by 135 blind score per game, Marinduqueños, in spite of relinquishing all scratch sets with totals at 2,544-2,767, salvaged the two handicapped matches that made them nose out Four Season on final tallies 3,147-3,106.
But though out-scored, Four Season had prestige to live up to as it out-pointed the cellar dweller opponent at 12-10 on better scratch output of TC Rene Ocampo, Archie Santos, Cheryl Tibay, Richard Antonio, Med Ramos and Marie Gumpal.

Cool Guys’ trek was an inverted cone much against Micah’s Pride, wherein with the top scoring of Randy Mata at 677 it won Game One 1,257-1,188, lost the second 1,273-1,295, then won the third 1,338-1,215 to come out on top 3,668-3,698 that made it the Team of the Week for the third time.

Team captain Jun de Dios with 669 provided greatest back up and except for Michelle Mata who had 585, Rene Punzalan, Nezar Alhamwi and Loudes Punzalan all exceeded 600 marks. Melvin Lising led Micah’s Pride with 252 with Oca Bernabe, TC Rolly Vistal, Paolo Allego, Nethneth Cerbito and TM Ester Santoc corroborating for the rest of their 1,273-1,295 4-point saving set.
With 18 win points taken by Cool Guys and 28 points from ranking, they sustained second place with 894 behind front-running BCT-JBS Pro Shop that computed 906 points after blanking Global Intergold.

BCT-JBS and Ekis-8 shared the same fate by blanking their respective opponents and breeding Bowlers of the Week for Rommel Cagampang (for the former) and Malou Gime.

BCT-JBS trashed Global on aggregates of 3,802-3,491 shared by Romel Agbayani (692), Rommel Cagampang (686), Eloisa Fernandez (653), Jimmy Aragones (620), Edward Botardo (601) and TC Emil Payongayong (550). Global was defended by TC Serge Rivera (662), Danny Bautista (633), Luz Pagaran (622), Rober Bago (604) and Rudy Valenzuel (565). Except for TC/TM Engineer Ernie Geslani who had (571), Zaldy Bacero, Rey Beltran, Faisal Relativo, Jimmy Mandingiado and Malou Gime all posted 600 plus marks that walloped Lane Axis whose top scorers were Bonnie Garcia (671) and TC Jay Bengco (611).

Malou Gime won the Lady Bowler of the Week honor with games of 221, 243 and 194. In other matches: Sagmit Dental Clinic defeated Pin Slasher 18-4, Trojans punished FB Rhinos 20-2 and Liquidators-3 took all points from the incomplete lineup of Casadores.
