JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman arrived in Morocco late Thursday on a private vacation, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Upon arrival at Ibn Battouta Airport in Tangier, the King was received by Rasheed Al-Talebi Al-Almi, speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives, Governor of Tangier and Tetouan Mohammed Yaqoubi, Saudi Ambassador Abdulaziz Khoja, several senior civilian and military officials and diplomats.

Earlier, the King was seen off at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior; Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of Makkah and advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Mishal Bin Majed, governor of Jeddah; several other princes and high ranking civilian and military officials, the Royal Court said in a statement.

According to a Royal Decree issued earlier Thursday, Crown Prince Muhammad has been tasked with administering the sate’s affairs and taking care of the interests of the people during King Salman’s absence from the country.
