MAKKAH –
Under the aegis of Makkah Municipality, several agencies have joined hands in distributing free hand sanitizers among citizens, residents and workers in the field in Makkah.

The beneficiaries include employees of government departments and commercial firms, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Sunday.

A brainchild of the services agency in Makkah Municipality, the initiative was launched in cooperation with the administration for social services and was carried out in the field by the General Administration for Public Health, the services agency said.

This comes within the precautionary measures and efforts to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection among individuals in society and raise the level of awareness on hand sanitization and abidance by the medical guidelines.

The hand sanitizers haved been manufactured in special laboratories which ensured conformity with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) standards. Large quantities were distributed to make sure they reached the biggest number of people possible, the services agency added.
