RIYADH — In the first of its kind in the Kingdom, cruise ships were launched in the Red Sea as part of the “Break Free” summer season initiative, which is being held from June 25 to Sept. 30, 2020, covering 10 tourist destinations around Saudi Arabia.

The initiative launched by the Saudi Tourism Authority is part of the Kingdom's efforts to provide exceptional tourism experiences through which it seeks to highlight the tourist treasures in the Red Sea and enable tourists to enjoy the huge tourism potential that lies along the Red Sea coasts in the Kingdom.

Cruise ships are expected to provide a wider array of options
and packages, as the authority has called the topmost cruise ship companies in the world to operate luxury ships in the Red Sea coasts in the Kingdom with different paths and different stations.


The ships will provide the best services and meet all expectations and aspirations of Saudi tourists.

The authority has aligned with the Ministry of Health, tour operators, and other parties to put in place the most stringent protocols and corrective actions to safeguard the health of passengers and provide a pleasant and safe tourism experience.

The STA is the organization behind Visit Saudi, the official brand for the promotion and revitalization of tourism in the Kingdom.

The Authority is responsible for developing, marketing and promoting tourism products, packages and destinations in the Kingdom while monitoring and developing the tourist experience.
