RIYADH — In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Yemeni Siamese twins Yousuf and Yassin arrived at King Salman Airbase Wednesday, accompanied by their parents.

They came from Makala city in Hadramout, Yemen, via a medical air-evacuation plane, with support of the Forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Upon arrival, they were transferred to King Abdullah Specialist Hospital for Pediatrics, at the Ministry of the National Guard, to study their case and consider subjecting them to a separation surgery.

Mohammed Abdulrahman, father of the Siamese twins, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for considering the condition of his twins, praising the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its great humanitarian work.

For his part, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, advisor at the Royal Court and supervisor general of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), who is also head of the medical team, extended his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince on this humanitarian initiative.

The initiative has come in response to the difficult circumstances facing Yemen and reflects the humanitarian role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards dozens of stricken and needy countries around the world.

The Yemeni Siamese twin is the 116th case to arrive from 21 countries, in order to be examined by the Saudi National Program for Separating Conjoined Twins. — SPA
