Five hurt as storefront collapses in Al-Khobar

AL-KHOBAR –
Five Saudis, including three women and a child, were injured when the storefront of a restaurant collapsed in the city of Al-Khobar in the Eastern Province.

The victims, who sustained multiple injuries, were taken to hospital following the accident that took place on Friday.

Eastern Province Emir Prince Saud Bin Naif has directed Maj. Gen. Ijab Al-Harbi, director of Civil Defense in the region, to carry out thorough investigation into the incident and present the report without delay. Immediately after the accident, the emir instructed to provide all means of healthcare for the injured people.

Prince Saud also ordered to ensure the safety of the buildings under construction and that is in coordination with the region’s mayoralty.
