RIYADH — The Heritage Commission has set a record in the Guinness World Records by having the longest phrase, Heritage Commission, written on a painting made up of 6,088 Saudi Khawlani coffee beans, as part of the commission's World Heritage Day events held recently at the King Abdulaziz Historical Center in Riyadh.
The commission's representatives received the registration certificate in from Guinness World Records.
The Saudi Khawlani is one of the most prestigious types of coffee; it has been associated with the habits, poetry, folk songs and economy of the people of the region. It is the tenth item to be recorded in the representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Having set this record in the Guinness World Records shows the Heritage Commission's keenness to be made known worldwide, among organizations and in encyclopedias, in a bid to acquaint the international community with the importance of the Kingdom's cultural heritage. — SPA
