Saudi Arabia supports urgent Gaza aid and ceasefire in talks with US

RIYADH —
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed the situation in Gaza and the stages of the exchange deal announced by US President Joe Biden with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Saturday. The conversation took place via a phone call received by the Saudi Foreign Minister from his American counterpart.

During the call, Prince Faisal bin Farhan expressed the Kingdom's support for all efforts aimed at an immediate ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, the provision of urgent humanitarian aid to civilians affected by the Israeli escalation, and the safe return of displaced persons to their homes.

He stressed the importance of seriously addressing any proposal that achieves a permanent ceasefire and ends the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
