RIYADH —
Al Nassr Saudi women's team started their Asian Champions League journey with a commanding 3-0 victory against Myawady from Myanmar, in a match held at Al Awwal Park in Riyadh.

The goals were scored by Tanzanian player Clara Luvanga and Mubarakah Al-Sairi.

In other Sunday matches, Abu Dhabi Sports Club joined the winners' ranks with a 2-1 victory over Young Elephants.

Al Awwal Park will host another match on Wednesday, featuring Al Nassr against Young Elephants, while Abu Dhabi Sports Club will face Myawady.

It's worth noting that Al Nassr is the reigning champion of the Saudi Women's Premier League for two consecutive seasons.

In a separate development, Al Nassr announced the return of player Rima Al-Malki to the women's team, where she will compete in upcoming tournaments. Rima’s contract with the club extends until 2026. She had previously played for Al Nassr, contributing to their league title in the 2022-2023 season, before moving to Al-Qadsiah last season, where she won a bronze medal in the inaugural Saudi Women's Football Federation Cup.
