Okaz/Saudi Gazette RIYADH — A stray lion sustained injuries when it was hit by a vehicle on a Riyadh road. The injured lion was transferred to National Center for Wildlife, according to Maj. Raed Al-Maliki, spokesman of the Special Forces for Environmental Security.He said that the Special Forces swung into action after it received information about the mishap. The forces, on reaching the spot, completed all the necessary procedures in this regard.Al-Maliki stressed that the Environmental Law and its executive regulations criminalize tampering and trafficking wild animals.He urged the public to report any cases that constitute an attack on the environment or wildlife by calling over the number 911 in the regions of Makkah and Riyadh, and 999 & 996 in all other regions of the Kingdom.
