Sarmiento is new mayor in Bulacan town

SAN JOSE DEL MONTE - Mayoralty aspirant Angelito Sarmiento, who filed an electoral protest against Mayor Eduardo Roque, is the new mayor of this town a month after Roque died of cardiac arrest, he announced Friday.
In a press conference held at the Daungan ng Balita sa Danarra Hotel, Sarmiento showed media the Commission on Election (Comelec) order of execution favoring him as the new mayor of San Jose del Monte. - SG
